One of the basic precepts one should learn in direct marketing is that of the importance of a satisfied customer... or client... What we want most in sales is to have people who actually "love" us so much that they send us unsolicited letters and emails that tell us how great we are... Those people are the ones that make up the backbone of a business. They stay with us year after year and keep coming back to buy our quality products... The keywords then are "Under Sell" and "Over Deliver".

That's right... the marketers that "Oversold and Underdelivered" are long gone and they can't come back... They stepped over the line and they lost the confidence of the people who were most important to them... the clients themselves.

Several months ago after I spent almost a year chasing the "Insider Secrets" stuff... I was sent a mailer that said that if I wanted to get a free copy of a marketing plan... I could have one by downloading it FREE...

Well, after spending a hundred or two hundred for so many 'secrets' books that it made me sick, I figured I didn't have much to lose. I was convinced that even if it cost me 50 cents it was too much... but this one was FREE...

Well, naturally I figured that this would contain all the same old baloney and have a follow up item for sale that would cost me an arm and a leg.

Was I pleasantly Surprised...

This was my first introduction to Dr. Ken Evoy... Ken is a Canadian doctor who became interested in the internet a few years ago and wrote a software program for use in trading those Canadian penny stocks that are half the time worthless... but sometimes go through the roof. The program helps you in deciding whether or not to buy or sell the individual stocks. Ken even referred us to the program that he used to write the software. Up 'till then I didn't know that there was a software program that would write software... well it's pretty simplistic, but it worked out great for Ken and he made some pretty good money by selling his 'penny stock software'.

Ken then decided that if he could market an improbable product like the 'Penny stock software' that there would be an almost infinite market for the stuff that makes the internet a desired place to sell stuff...

Ken wrote his MYSS book or to be more specific " Make Your Site Sell" . This book had more information in it at a price of about $25 than any of the $100 to $200 things that I had been paying through the nose for during the past year.

Ken follows the basic premise "Under Promise and Over Deliver" to the Nth degree. He decided to deliver the entire book electronically which saves money and keeps the price down instead of as a bound edition with tapes and cd's ... which is a great idea since what we want is the information anyway... not some volumes to fill up the closet. The tapes and cd's I received from others never seemed to work anyway...

Well, I was so impressed with Ken that when I was having trouble selling my own product... I found out later, it wasn't an internet type product... , I decided that the answer to getting started on the internet was to begin with an affiliate program. Whose affiliate program do you think I chose? Of Course... Ken Evoy was the man...

Since then... Ken has acquired some notoriety in internet marketing circles for his outstanding performance and was recently named "Best Affiliate Program for 1999" by Affiliates Directory.com out of over 2500 other affiliate programs. Allan Gardyne of AffiliatePrograms.com says that Ken Evoy's program is at a stage where all the other affiliate programs will be 18 months from now...

What I liked so much about Ken's program is that he has moved ahead creating other products to include in the program. His second program is one called MYKS " Make Your Knowledge Sell" Yeah, that's right... you write about what you know and then market your own product which you then have control over... Hooray! ....... That's what most wanted to do from the outset anyway...

So... we can have our cake and eat it too... We can start out by working with the "Best Affiliate Program on the Net" getting some experience from the Master Guru...
And then we move on to something we know and can control... What better situation can we hope for ....

The only "Goofy" thing about Ken's program is the name: "The 5 Pillar Program"

Corny... Yet Distinctive...
