Kevin
Trudeau
I
sometimes think we are too quick to condemn. The Federal Trade
Commission had a suit against Kevin Trudeau for false advertising
with regard to his memory system and some other products.
I
don't know about the other products, but I bought the memory
system for my kids. My personal experience is that my kids never
read the book and did not practice what the book preaches and
they never even seemed to remember to take out the garbage, but
that probably didn't have much to do with the Trudeau book.
However,
I read the book and I practiced the principles Kevin teaches
in the book, and I found it very helpful in trying to remember
various things. Did Kevin make promises that the book purchasers
were unable to fulfill when they lamely scanned the thing for
a quickie look thinking they were going to get smart in a half
hour or by putting the book under the bed and hope they might
get a phD by osmosis? Probably... and then they all trooped into
the Attorney General's office claiming they were scammed.
I
don't know all the details of the case so I can't knowledgeably
comment... but I have seen this time and time again where folks
think they will dramatically change their lives without any EFFORT
on their part. And, it's so easy to go complain to the all protective
government agencies to take care of them.
The
probable answer is that Kevin probably stepped over the line,
but he expected at least some minute amount of participation
from his customers... yet, they thought they would magically
become geniuses overnight with zero effort.
I
am including a list of links to other sites for information on
Kevin. If you want to wade through all the stuff you can be your
own judge.
I've
always find Brill's Content a self serving rag... and Brill,
himself, is a self centered know-it-all... remember when he launched
the magazine ??? Last I checked they still hadn't made any money.
